NOTICE TO THE CONGREGATION
SHABBAT SERVICES GOING FORWARD
Your Board of Directors has been carefully monitoring the potential effects of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 to determine whether and when we will hold Shabbat services going forward. We make a decision about services on a week-by-week basis.
Until further notice, we will be making the following modifications to and recommendations about attendance at our weekly Friday Shabbat services, as follows:
There should be no hugging, kissing or shaking of hands. Greet one other verbally or with an elbow bump.
Please spread out in the sanctuary with plenty of space between members. There are 200+ seats in the sanctuary.
There will be no receiving line following services.
There will be no Oneg following services.
If you have a cold or flu, please do not come to services.
If you have been taking care of someone with a cold or flu, please stay home.
If you have flown in recently from an area with a significant number of cases, such as Washington State or California, or if you have been overseas, please stay home.
It is important for all of us to to use common sense. The Board will be guided by scientific knowledge and health recommendations provided by CDC, the Florida Department of Health and the Collier County Department of Health.
We will make our decisions going forward with your health and best interests in mind. We want to make our Shabbat services available to those who are observing yahrzeits and for those who simply want to share in the wonder of Shabbat.
For anyone who has questions, I am always available by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 724-747-3359.
